Gap assessment and analysis programme based on NABH: Assessment of infrastructural, human resource and biomedical equipment processes, documentation, orientation of staff and other features with respect to accreditation norms. Assisting on developing plans towards fulfillment of the gaps with hospital staff so that the services offered support accreditation standards.
Assistance in developing and reviewing the hospital plan for Accreditation at various stages of the project

The required documents will be developed in collaboration with the hospital staff.
Assistance in the Development of Record Keeping Programme of the healthcare facility through guidance on the organizing of records, development of formats wherever required and operationalizing of Monitoring system
Organization of Training programmes throughout the accreditation preparation process. These training programmes would be generated through, consultant trainers and resources, external trainers and resources, in house facility trainers and resources.
Training of pre-identified Hospital staff on NABH methodology for accreditation
Development of performance indicators and data collection & its analysis.
Facilitation on the development of a facility assessment programme through training of facility staff to conduct assessments, assistance in organizing for internal assessments, facilitation in the conduction of mock drills, internal assessments and assistance in evaluating the results of internal assessment
Monitoring of accreditation programme activities, documentation, effectiveness of training programmes and organizing refresher training programmes as per need identified
Filling up of self-assessment toolkit
The Public Health Division has been undertaking nation-wide projects in the fields of operation research, capacity building, project planning, design and implementation, training, and empowerment in the community health particularly in the fields of reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, communicable and non communicable diseases. The significant projects handled include Evaluation of Project Sankalp in UP and Karnataka for HLFPPT and ESICS, Accelerating Routine Immunization and ANC services in 10 underserved districts in Madhya Pradesh. Data Verification of MIS of ICDS projects in 50 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Strengthening of Infection Control Practices in 6 District Hospitals in Madhya Pradesh, Baseline study on assessment of ANC and PPTCT services in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan for Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative, Assessment of Barriers to sustainable access of children to ART centers for India HIV/AIDS Alliance under Global Fund Round VI, Training of ANMs on Integration of Safe mother hood practices and Reproductive health in Delhi for Delhi Govt. under Delhi State Health Mission, Training of SHGs on Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS in Delhi for Mission Convergence and Delhi State AIDS Control Society, Govt. of Delhi, Mapping and Vulnerability Assessment of Massage Parlors for Delhi State AIDS Control Society, Govt. of Delhi, KABP Study of Delhi Police Personnel for DSACS, Govt. of Delhi and, Evaluation of Status of Medical Waste Management Practices in India for FHI 360 and Gap Analysis of RMNCH+A in 33 districts of Haryana, Punjab, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Delhi for USAID.
Astron successfully managed the State Training Resource Centre for Himachal Pradesh under the PPP mode in Shimla for two years. Based on the mutual interest of Astron and IGMC, to evolve a PPP model, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla contributes as our infrastructural and academic partner for this activity, which is being carried out successfully under the PPP model.
Astron has conducted Trainings of 6000 FLW’s (ANM’s ASHA, Anganwadi workers) in collaboration with Delhi State AIDS Control Society and Delhi State Health Mission on NACO module shaping our lives.

The Healthcare Facility Planning and Design Division has been active in establishment of concept of “Design Follows Function” and has strong expertise in provision of Evidence Based Hospital design with national and international accreditation compliances at planning stage as the design base. Team Astron has to its credit conceptualization, designing and planning a number of Academic Medical Institutions viz. AIIMS, Jodhpur, Holy Family Medical College, Haryana Government Medical Colleges at Sonepat and Mewat and Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences.
